Rihwa 北海道・札幌出身のシンガーソングライター。 中学卒業後に単身カナダに留学、高校生活3年間をカナダ・ベルビルにて過ごす。街中で流れていたカントリー・ミュージックがいつしか自然とRihwaの体に染込んでいった。在学期間中、ひょんなことからボーカルクラスの音楽イベントに出演。初めて多くの観客を前にKelly Clarkson「Because of You」を披露し、大きな歓声と共に、国境・言語を超えて音楽が与えるパワーに衝撃を受ける。以降、カントリー・ミュージックをベースにした楽曲制作を始め、帰国後、ギターを片手に音楽活動を開始。2012年7月デビュー。 ドラマ・映画主題歌やCMソングなどの楽曲制作の他、ミシェル・ブランチ、KTタンストールやmaroon5のギタリスト ジェームス・ヴァレンタインらグラミーアーティストとのコラボレーションをするなどグローバルな活動も。2020年4月、北海道観光局より北海道観光応援隊に任命。 透明感ある伸びやかで明るい歌声と、太陽のような笑顔が魅力。 Rihwa is a singer-songwriter with one and only high tone clear voice. From Hokkaido, Sapporo. She spent three years in high school living in Belleville, Canada. She sang Kelly Clarkson "Because of You" in vocal class music event. She impressed by the power that music gives across borders and languages. After that, she started to make music based on country music, and made a major debut in July 2012.
